"It is always great meeting new and different audiences, you find out their current concerns and problems, what they find difficult and hopefully help them to find workable solutions.
I find giving talks really helps me articulate why I approach things the way I do. So many people think that a garden design is dreamt up out of thin air, but the best designs are arrived at as a result of a logical thought process while solving problems, maximising great aspects or situations to create really attractive useable spaces. Once people realise how to go about it and how to source more out of the way elements it helps them get a whole lot more out of their plot."
